Allen Admissions Consulting does not have the large overhead that many of our competitors have. In fact, I am the chief consultant and most to all of your consulting time will be spent with me only. Since AAC’s enrollments have no time expiration date, we suggest either a student’s freshman or sophomore year; this applies for both Pre-College and Graduate/Professional school. A 15 or 20 hour enrollment package can and typically will cover a student for 2-3 years. Remember that college, graduate and professional school admissions is a PROCESS. A common mistake made by students/parents is waiting until the senior year to ask for assistance. This is when applications are DUE. Ideally, AAC wants to work with a student over an extended period of time to build up to the application submission. Only so much can be accomplished in 2-3 months when the actual admissions cycle lasts for close to a year. We want to significantly reduce the stress level of our students. Spreading out our time over a year (or more) will certainly make the admissions timeline much more manageable.
Absolutely NOT! As mentioned before we take advantage of the several resources of communication in order for you to get the trusted attention you pay for. I personally use Google Hangout which is a part of Gmail. However, a Gmail account is NOT required in order to use it. You will however need to download the free application for hangout on your laptop, desktop, or mobile device.
Within 24-48 hours is my guarantee. I will first have you fill out a brief survey to get to know a little more about you and your aspirations. Once the survey is completed and you have signed our enrollment agreement, it’s time to get to work. The survey and enrollment agreement will be emailed to you immediately after your purchase. AAC was founded by Brian Allen. He spent 10 in the standardized test prep industry. During this period Brian noticed that many of his students that were studying for things like the MCAT (medical school), LSAT (law school) had very little knowledge about the admissions PROCESS other than taking the required standardized test. It was then when Brian made the effort to guide students thru this process by creating timelines for the students. The timelines included writing personal statements, getting letters of recommendation, and even assisting them with internships, shadowing hours, research opportunities, and more. He also reached into his community of Athens, GA where he saw many high school students needed the same assistance when it came to applying for college. In 10 years Brian has helped hundreds of students get into the colleges, graduate, and professional schools of their choices.
What I guarantee is a complete honest and comprehensive assessment of you as an applicant. This assessment will be used in determining how many and what particular schools you apply to. If we have determined for example that you don’t qualify for say an Ivy League medical school, we are NOT going to waste your time and money applying there. Remember, we will work together as a TEAM in the decision making process.
Absolutely! However, it is up to the client as to how much time they want to use towards a particular service. For example, if you feel that your personal statement is fine without our assistance, you can choose not to spend any of your hours purchased on it.
In some cases where proximity is not an issue AAC can do In-Person meetings. However, in most cases we will use technology such as Google Hangout to meet. Having internet access is a necessity in order for us to conduct sessions.
